I am not a neat freak, but I am weird about games. I know many games are rendered useless without all the pieces. Of course, this not always the case. But, I like to maintain that standard so we can just take care of all games equally.
House Game Rules
1.The game and its pieces will only be used for proper game play. Some people may disagree with this rule, but I don’t need sneaky snacky squirrel acorns all over the place for me to have to hunt down.
2.One game at a time. That doesn’t mean we don’t have a stack of games out. It does mean if your playing a game put the pieces or cards back in their container before opening a new one.
3.No fighting. The punishment here is I stop playing. Sorry.
The other things we try to do, but, now that we all love games it happens naturally. A new game everyone sits and listens to the rules and helps set it up. This way if they pull something out while I am busy I can say ‘set it up.’ This gives me a few minutes to finish whatever I am doing before we sit down to play.
